Dr.Mohini Professor of Govt. College of Nursing had visited our center with 54 numbers of 3rd Year B B Sc.Nursing Students & 2nd-year M.Sc. Nursing students.

They have all visited all the classrooms with 4 group wise. They all observe the children with their activities and spend with them for one hour. They have all appreciated the service rendered here without any government help. Finally, they gave some biscuits & chocolates for the children.

The second Awareness program of Manonandana was conducted on 07-03-2020 from 7.00 AM to 9.00 AM at Brindavana Park, Banashankari 2nd Stage, Bangalore. Sri Ravi Subramanya – MLA was Chief Guest.

There were 7 volunteers from Youth For Seva.

Banners, Posters and Placards in both Kannada and English listing various aspects of disability and available facilities were displayed throughout the park. There was also a “Ask a question about disability in children and get a flower” activity, to encourage the walkers to approach us for more information.

This year is Manonandana Centre’s Silver Jubilee year. We are all very proud to celebrate this event by taking up many activities every month. One of them is Awareness program for the public.

The very first program was conducted in Shamanna Park near to the centre between 7 AM & 8.30 AM.

Banner and placard were displayed in the park. Some of the morning walkers showed interest in our program. Mr.Katte Satyanarayana, Ex-Mayor was the Chief Guest of the event.

“Kaliyona Banni” audio cassette was brought out by Manonandana Trust. This contains 12 songs on various concepts like color, shape etc based on Dr. Kusuma Bhatta’s doctoral theses. The music was composed by Late C. Ashwath, famous “Sugama Sangeetha” composer and singer of Karnataka. In his memory, a music-dance program was organised at “Kappanna Angala”, J.P.Nagar on 03-01-2020. The most interesting fact about this program is that normal children (age between 4 & 9 years) sang 4 songs from the cassette and special children of Manonandana Centre enacted for the singing.

This was very much appreciated by all the parents.

Manonandana Centre Founder - Project Director Dr.Kusuma Bhatta has got National Award for the Best Individual (Professional) for the year 2019 from Ministry of Social Justice And Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, New Delhi. 

BNMIT – Educational Institute, Banashankari 2nd Stage celebrated Mother’s Day on 28-11-2019. On this occasion Dr.Kusuma Bhatta was invited as Guest of Honour and also congratulated her for getting National Award-2019.(In advance)
